To Whom It May Concern:

I unselfishly write this letter of recommendation, because as much as I hate to see Ms. Anticevic as my music/theater teacher leave, I know that what she has to offer is much grander than just serving my twelve third grade students.

I have taught for 25 years and this year, I am teaching a third/fourth grade combo class in Capistrano Unified School District. Because of the combo, our district offers a music aide to come into the classroom during fourth grade music time, to take the other half of the combo since this is considered my prep period. Much to my amazement and delight, I scored and you will too if you offer her the position which she is highly qualified to teach!

I met her a very short time before she was to take my class. I asked her if she really was a music and drama teacher. She told me briefly about her experience and right then and there in a matter of five minutes, she had my third graders eating out of the palm of her hand! She had no idea what she was going to be doing in my classroom ahead of time. She had never met me or my students and yet, she jumped right in and was able to provide an outstanding lesson to my twelve third graders.

I know extraordinary when I see it! My father played with the Tommy Dorsey band and was a music director for 35 years. So, when Ms. Anticevic began working with my students, I didn’t take my prep time, instead I observed her and have now added some of tricks of the trade to my own 25-year collection. She is creative, patient, kind, has incredible classroom management skills, and makes great connections. She is a NATURAL!

So here I am, offering you one of the greatest gifts I have received as a teacher this year, but know that she belongs where she can reach more than my dozen third graders. She is simply one of a kind!

I whole heartedly recommend Ms. Anticevic for any and all positions related to music, drama, and the arts.
