My name is Ruth Dormaier and I am happy to offer my recommendation of Tanya Anticevic to whom | have personally known since August 2020 when she moved to Orange County from Los Angeles.
I have been a resident in OC for more than 20 years and have worked for the Capistrano Unified School District for 16 years as an independent facilitator, special ed autism, and currently as a para-educator. I am very familiar with the needs and requirements of a schoolteacher these days. I have witnessed Tanya in action when she assisted the music teachers at my school (she has a music background and was able to tutor new flutists as well as teach strings). I have seen videos of her teaching other classes in theater and I have heard her discuss with enthusiasm her work doing drama therapy at ATP. I can tell that she is eager and excited about her teacher career and is looking for a place to teach full time at this stage of her life.
I’ve also become close friends with Tanya and experienced an individual who is kind, compassionate, intelligent, and respectful. Tanya is a gifted actress, storyteller, and writer and | can see how this creativity would extend to the classroom environment. She is great at capturing attention and would excel at engaging a group of students in her entertaining, funny way to make learning a positive experience!
I know Tanya had a career as an actress and writer, that she continued to teach after school drama classes at a famous Acting School in LA and more significantly she has volunteered in the school system as a visiting artist to read stories through SAG after book pals, and for the Young Storytellers Foundation, mentoring children in script writing and performing their stories with other famous actors in LA. I believe that these actions describe what kind of person Tanya is and for all of the reasons above. I recommend her without reservations for any teaching position. If you have any questions or requests do not hesitate to contact me.
