1 would like to take this opportunity to praise the work and abilities that Tanya Anticevic has demonstrated while working in a substitute position with the Capistrano Unified School District’s (CUSD) Adult Transition Program (ATP). This program is designed for students 18-22 years of age who have moderate/severe disabilities. Students are preparing for their futures by learning vocational, social, academic, mobility, and independent living skills.
Tanya began working in the ATP in April 2021 while working with many students with various disabilities. She was amazing with all of the students but particularly effective working with the students in a group setting. Her experience as an acting teacher is impressive and we were so grateful to be the recipients of her talents. She kept the students engaged and entertained by running acting workshops. The students came out of their shells and began communicating with their bodies and voices. She has shown patience and understanding while working with large groups and individual students in the classroom, college classes, work-sites, and in the community. Tanya’s demeanor has positive effect on students, staff and co-workers. Her approach is one of high expectations for herself and the students while making sure that each individual student understands the content. She is direct and effective in establishing guidelines and expectations for students on a daily basis. Tanya sincerely cares about teaching the students which is reflected in her extraordinary rapport with them and the respect they have for her. She is motivated to learn and improve her teaching skills and shows inability to learn and apply theoretical concepts in a practical and effective manner. In short, she has a strong moral fiber and sincerely wants to help the people around him.
I would highly recommend Tanya Anticevic in any employment endeavor she pursues without reservation. I believe she has tremendous skills and resources to contribute to the fortunate students, community members, and co-workers with which she may come into contact.
